Greensleeves

[Our family abodes a travelling, went to distant lands,
A singing sweet with pipes and string and an open heart,
Just to wish their brothers a good life.]

Greensleeves was all my joy,
Greensleeves was my delight.
Greensleeves same heart of gold
And who but my love, Greensleeves.

[In Dante's land, or there they'd marbled strong
To see this Celtic bloods sincerity.
I look, you smile, even a tiny gift
And turn their backs, low courteously.]

Greensleeves...

[When come to the city of a waltz, they said.
There they'll love you cautiously.
But in truth they'll be given no time
And even scares by the city of music,
He's gone or go.]

Greensleeves...

[So they dances the way, no scud and faint
To Schiller's sweet heaven and dearest walk
And at last they were watched with wandering love
And that lifted this family's silent heart.]

Greensleeves...

The Rose of Tralee

The pale moon was rising above the green mountains,
The sun was declining beneath a blue sea.
When I strayed with my love by the pure crystal fountain,
That stands in the beautiful Vale of Tralee.

She was lovely and fair as the rose of the summer,
Yet 'twas not her beauty alone that won me.
Oh no, 'twas the trust in her eyes ever dawning,
That made me love Mary, the Rose of Tralee.

The cool shades of evening their mantles were spreading,
And Mary all smiling was listening to me.
The moon through the valley her pale rays was shedding,
When I won the heart of the Rose of Tralee.

Though lovely and fair as the rose of the summer,
Yet 'twas not her beauty alone that won me.
Oh no, 'twas the trust in her eyes ever dawning,
That made me love Mary, the Rose of Tralee.

The Last Rose Of Summer

'Tis the last Rose of Summer left blooming alone
All her lovely companions are faded and gone.
No flower of her kindred, no rosebud is nigh
To reflect back her blushes or give sigh by sigh.

I'll not leave thee, though lone one to pine on the steam
Since the lovely are sleeping, go sleeping though with them.
Thus kindley I scatter they leaves over the bed
Where my mates of the garden lie scentless and dead.

So soon I may follow my friendships decay
And from love's shining circle the gems drop away.
When true hearts lie withered and fond ones are flown
Oh, who would inhabit this bleak world alone.

Guten Abend, gut' Nacht

Guten Abend, gut' Nacht,
Guten Abend, gut' Nacht.
Mit Rosen bedacht,
Mit Näglein bestickt
Schlupf unter die Deck.

Morgen früh, wenn Gott will,
Wirst du wieder geweckt. (2x)

Guten Abend, gut' Nacht
Von Englein bewacht,
Die zeigen im Traum
Dir Christkindleins Dank.

Schlaf nun seelig und süß,
Schau im Traum 's Paradies. (2x)

Guten Abend, gut' Nacht
Mit Rosen bedacht,
Mit Näglein bestickt
Schlupf unter die Deck.

Morgen früh, wenn Gott will,
Wirst du wieder geweckt.

Danny Boy

Oh, Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling.
From glen to glen and down the mountains' side.
The summer's gone and all the leafs are falling.
It's you, it's you, must go and I must hide.

But I'll be back when summer's in the meadows,
Or when the bench is flushed and white with snow.
And I'll be there in sunshine or in shadow.

Oh, Danny boy,
Oh, Danny boy,
I love you so.
(2x)

Muss i denn zum städtele hinaus

Muß i denn, muß i denn zum Städtele hinaus, Städtele hinaus,
Und du mein Schatz bleibst hier.
Wenn i komm, wenn i komm, wenn i wiederum komm, wiederum komm,
Wenn i komm, wenn i komm, wenn i wiederum komm, wiederum komm,
kehr i ein, mein Schatz, bei dir.

Mull of Kintyre

Mull of Kintyre,
Oh, mist rolling in from the sea,
My desire is always to be here,
Oh, Mull of Kintyre.

Far have I travelled and much I have seen
Dark distant mountains with valleys of green.
Past painted deserts, the sunset's on fire
As he carries me home to the Mull of Kintyre.

Mull of Kintyre,
Oh, mist rolling in from the sea,
My desire is always to be here,
Oh, Mull of Kintyre.

Sweep through the heather like deer in the glen,
Carry me back to the days I knew then.
Nights when we sang like a heavenly choir
Of the life and the times of the Mull of Kintyre.

Mull of Kintyre,
Oh, mist rolling in from the sea,
My desire is always to be here,
Oh, Mull of Kintyre.

Smiles in the sunshine and tears in the rain,
Still take me back where my memories remain.
Flickering embers grow higher and higher
As they carry me back to the Mull of Kintyre.

Mull of Kintyre,
Oh, mist rolling in from the sea,
My desire is always to be here,
Oh, Mull of Kintyre.

Mull of Kintyre,
Mull of Kintyre...

Who'll Come With Me (David's Song)

Who'll come with me?
Don't be afraid I know the way.
Who'll sing with me?
Don't be afraid I know the way.

Who'll dance with me
All thruogh the world?
Don't be afraid I'll show the way.

We'll go with you
To search the way, to find your star.
Who'll come with us?
Don't be afraid, we found the way.

Who'll fly with me
To reach a star?
Don't be afraid, I know the way.

[Hello to all you young men!
Our foundest hopes now rest in you.
Remember there is nothing we can't do!
So believe! And be brave!]

Who'll be my friend
And walk with me and sing this song?
Who'll love with me?
We'll change the world and set it free!

We'll walk with you!
We'll be your friends!
We'll sing your song!
We know the way!

Sah ein Knab ein Röslein stehn

Sah ein Knab ein Röslein stehn,
Röslein auf der Heiden,
War so jung und morgenschön,
Lief er schnell, es nah zu sehn,
Sah's mit vielen Freuden.
Röslein, Röslein, Röslein rot,
Röslein auf der Heiden.

Knabe sprach: Ich breche dich,
Roeslein auf der Heiden!
Röslein sprach: Ich steche dich,
Daß du ewig denkst an mich,
Und ich will's nicht leiden.
Röslein, Röslein, Röslein rot,
Röslein auf der Heiden.

Und der wilde Knabe brach 's
Röslein auf der Heiden;

Da haben wir so manche Stund
Gesessen da in froher Rund,
